We have created a fully-functional chess game board system for use in Decentraland. It allows legal moves by clicking on pieces and then clicking on the destination square or piece.
There is an optional chess clock, and you can get information about the game. A leaderboard is also present.
12 Chess Boards are currently deployed in Park in the Conference Center:

3DChess now supports the V2 Decentraland Client. If you use a Web Browser or the Legacy Installed Client you won’t see players that are using V2.
