At the Decentraland Conference Center, we understand that confidentiality and security of the personal information that you share with us is important. That is why we have developed specific policies and practices designed to protect the privacy of your personal information.

By opening an account with, registering with, or casting a vote regarding the Decentraland Conference Center or by utilizing the products and services available through our websites or the virtual reality platform, you have consented to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with the privacy notice set forth below. The Decentraland Conference Center does not sell customer lists or customer email addresses to third party marketers.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

Our Contact form collects any information you provide such as name, email address and your question or comment.  It also collects IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Virtual Experience scene data

We may monitor traffic to many of the venues in the Decentraland Conference Center district scenes in Decentraland, including but not limited to the Cafe, Star Cinema theater, Gallery, Museum, Meeting Center, and other theaters.

Holding KYC Documentation

If you have not gone through a KYC process with us, you can send a request from the same email address used to register or contact us to have your personal data purged from the database.

At any time you can suppress email delivery from our informational email services by clicking on the unsubscribe link on the bottom of the email.

Why we sometimes are required to retain your personal data even if you no longer use the services on the site.

If you have gone through the KYC process, even if you have not conducted any transactions with us, we are legally required to maintain your records as part of the KYC/AML convention.

The Decentraland Conference Center houses our servers in high end commercial data centers. Servers are backed up to minimise potential data loss.

The Decentraland Conference Center does not and will never share your personal data with third parties or partners without your approval. We may track activity and correspondence conducted with you to make sure that it takes place in an orderly and ethical manner.

Also, in an effort to improve our service and make sure our contributors and members are aware of features they may be interested in, we may place cookies on your computer. This process uses anonymised data. However, if you then register for our services we may link that previous behaviour to your Decentraland Conference Center record. We do this to understand how people make a decision to become a registered user of the site.
